Developed by David Grand, the BSP intensive offers the opportunity for further development of your Brainspotting skills. As a participant you will engage in practicums with guidance from Allyson. You will also delve more deeply into the foundational principles of Brainspotting. Attending the intensive can be used toward certification along with the required 50 hours of documented client hours.

Intensive Training Learning Objectives

This Brainspotting Intensive Training primarily aims to enable you to:

  • Expand clinical knowledge in the mastery of Brainspotting skills

  • Apply theory and practice to clinical applications through experientials.

  • Achieve a deeper understanding of the Dual Attunement Frame that leads to attunement and presence.

  • Understand how to assess and apply Brainspotting methods to a range of diagnoses.

  • Achieve Brainspotting certification

Skills Achieved Through Intensive Training

Through lecture, online experientials, small group practice and debriefs participants will learn to do the following:

  • Enhance therapist’s attunement with the Dual Attuement Frame

  • Understand and apply the Uncertainty Principle during a counseling process.

  • Understand the principle of  WAIT and use it during the Experientials

  • Use of multiple Brainspotting techniques during an Experiential

  • Go back into their psychotherapy office after the Intensive able to use BSP clinically
